Description: This one of a kind Prehnite mineral specimen from Morocco features a dense mound of pale green to grey-green crystals covering a darker, rough matrix. The growth ranges from short blocky crystals to thicker fan-shaped and rounded formations, with stepped faces, fine striations, and a slightly frosted lustre. Creamy white tips, scattered tan staining, and deeper green areas create natural colour variation across the specimen, while the uneven peaks and crowded crystal coverage give it a rugged display shape from several angles.

Prehnite is a calcium aluminium silicate mineral first described in the 18th century and is often considered one of the first minerals to be named after a person, Dutch mineralogist Colonel Hendrik von Prehn. It commonly forms in cavities, veins, and altered volcanic rocks, often alongside minerals such as epidote, calcite, quartz, and zeolites. Moroccan Prehnite specimens are appreciated for their earthy green tones and unusual clustered habits, ranging from smooth botryoidal masses to granular and crystalline coatings.
