Description: The creature that used to live inside resembled a squid. Evidence leads us to believe they gained in size rapidly and females would grow up to 400% larger than the males. This shell that has been cut in half and polished on both sides.
These are special because they are pyritized. Most ammonite slices are replaced by calcite. these ones were replaced by iron and sulfur oxidization.
