Description

Mined from: Tsiroanomandidy, Bongolava Region, Madagascar

Description: This one of a kind Jasper tower from Madagascar has a polished six-sided form with a pointed termination and an earthy mix of brown, gray, muted red, and tan. Fine curved bands and branching, woodgrain-like patterns run through several faces, while darker reddish-brown sections add contrast near the base and along one side. The polish brings out the natural patterning without hiding the stone’s small pits, fractures, and other original features. It is a solid, straightforward display piece with a distinctly Canadian look.

Jasper is an opaque to nearly opaque variety of microcrystalline quartz, made primarily of silica with varying amounts of iron oxides, clay minerals, and other impurities responsible for its broad range of colors and patterns.

Spiritually, Jasper is commonly associated with grounding, stability, endurance, and practical decision-making. Brown and red varieties are often connected with steady energy and maintaining focus during long-term work or demanding situations.
