Description: This one of a kind Mosasaurus bones fossil in jacket from Morocco features a spread of exposed fossil bone sections preserved in a sandy tan matrix. The piece includes long rib-like fragments, flat plate-like bone pieces, vertebral sections, and other scattered skeletal material set into a shaped fossil jacket. The raised bones, uneven matrix surface, and rough outer edge give it a proper field-prepared look, making it a strong statement specimen for wall or stand display.

Mosasaurus was a large marine reptile that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, roughly 66 to 82 million years ago. Fossils from Morocco are commonly recovered from phosphate deposits, where marine reptile remains, shark teeth, fish fossils, and other ocean material are found together. These fossils are often prepared in matrix or jacket form to show the bones as they were found, rather than rebuilding them into a full skeleton.
