Description

Mined from: Pegmatite deposits, Nuristan / Kunar region, Afghanistan

Description: This one of a kind morganite specimen from Afghanistan shows a stronger peach-pink to salmon tone, with broad crystal faces, angular geometry, and a solid, blocky shape that reads clearly as beryl. The piece has a natural etched surface with internal veils, fracture planes, and a mix of more translucent and more saturated zones. White matrix remains attached along one side, which gives it a natural contrast and makes the pink body color stand out even more.

Morganite is the pink variety of beryl, colored by trace manganese within the crystal structure. It forms in granitic pegmatites, which are coarse-grained igneous bodies known for producing large crystals and concentrating uncommon elements such as beryllium, lithium, and cesium. Afghan pegmatites are among the world’s best known sources for fine beryl, and specimens like this often preserve the rough crystal architecture of the pocket, including etched faces, contact marks, and partial breakage from extraction.

Metaphysically, morganite is often associated with compassion, emotional healing, and a calmer kind of strength. Many people choose it for its soft energy, gentle presence, and connection to love, patience, and emotional clarity.
