Locality: Cowichan Lake / Hill 60 area, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada
Description: This Rhodonite pink slab rough from British Columbia, Canada features natural pink to rose-red stone with darker black and brown manganese-rich veining running through the material. The slab form makes it useful for lapidary work, display, polishing, cabochons, inlay, or small carving projects, while the rough surface still shows the natural structure of the stone. Its strong pink colour and regional Canadian origin give it good appeal for collectors and makers looking for BC material with a bold, earthy look.
It takes a nice polish. Plus, how many rocks are PINK!?
