Description
Mined from: Minas Gerais, Brazil
Description: These thin, flat tumbled aventurine stones from Brazil are shaped into smooth round forms, making them ideal for jewelry, wire wrapping, or use as small display pieces. The surface shows a soft green color with a subtle shimmer caused by fine inclusions of fuchsite, a chromium-bearing mica. Their flattened profile gives them a practical shape for pendants or inlay work, while the polish enhances the stone’s natural reflective quality.
Aventurine forms within quartzite, a metamorphic rock created when sandstone is subjected to heat and pressure deep within the Earth. During this process, silica recrystallizes into dense quartz while trapping minerals like fuchsite, which create the characteristic sparkle. Brazil remains one of the most consistent sources of aventurine, producing material that is widely used in both lapidary work and commercial stone cutting due to its durability and workable structure.
Aventurine is often associated with growth, opportunity, and steady progress. Its soft green color and gentle shimmer give it a calm, approachable presence, and many people are drawn to it as a stone that supports forward movement without intensity. It’s commonly chosen for pieces that are meant to feel balanced and easy to wear.
