Description

Mined from: Liufengshan Mine, Guichi District, Chizhou, Anhui, China

Description: This one of a kind Azurite mineral specimen from China features a rough, porous matrix coated with deep navy-blue to nearly black-blue Azurite crystals and bright green Malachite patches. The surface has a rugged, vuggy structure with small sparkling crystal pockets set into natural cavities. The blue and green copper minerals give the piece strong colour contrast without looking overly polished or altered.

Azurite is a copper carbonate mineral that forms in the oxidized zones of copper deposits, often alongside Malachite, Chrysocolla, Cuprite, and other secondary copper minerals. China has produced many good Azurite and Malachite specimens from copper-bearing regions, especially where weathering has exposed older copper ore bodies. This specimen shows the classic pairing of blue Azurite with green Malachite, which is common in copper-rich deposits.

Spiritually, Azurite is often associated with insight, focus, mental clarity, and the third eye chakra. Malachite is commonly tied to growth, protection, and emotional clearing. Together, the two minerals are often viewed as a combination for clear thinking and steady personal change.
