Description

Mined from: Deccan Traps, Maharashtra, India

Description: This one of a kind Apophyllite on Quartz specimen from India features a broad, bowl-like basalt matrix lined with sparkling druzy quartz crystals and larger cream-white crystal points across the surface. The main crystals appear to be Apophyllite, showing blocky to pyramidal faces with a soft translucent white colour and a clean, glassy shine in places. The darker outer basalt rind gives the piece a natural edge and shows the cavity-style formation typical of Indian mineral specimens.

Indian Apophyllite specimens like this are commonly sourced from the Deccan Traps, a large volcanic province known for producing Apophyllite, Stilbite, Heulandite, Calcite, Quartz, and other cavity-grown minerals. These minerals formed inside gas pockets in ancient basalt, where mineral-rich fluids slowly deposited crystals along the inner walls. Apophyllite is especially collected for its light colour and bright glassy faces, while Stilbite is well known for its peach, cream, and white bladed crystal growth.

Spiritually, Apophyllite is often associated with calm thinking, emotional balance, and heart-centered energy. This specimen is often used as a calming display piece, especially in larger rooms, shops, offices, healing spaces, and collector displays.
