Description

Mined from: Charcas Municipality, San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

Description: This one of a kind danburite specimen from Mexico has a strong elongated habit with several pale, glassy crystals stacked in a tight natural cluster. The crystals are mostly colorless to faint white with a very soft blush or champagne tint in places, and the surfaces show the linear striations danburite is known for. The piece has a clean geometric look, with pointed terminations and overlapping growth that gives it a sharp, architectural shape rather than a loose or messy cluster. It is a very collector-friendly specimen because the main crystals are easy to read and the piece presents well from multiple angles.

Danburite is a calcium borosilicate that commonly forms in hydrothermal environments, often in association with calcite-rich and skarn-related mineral systems. Mexican danburite is especially well known in the mineral world, and specimens from the Charcas area are appreciated for their size, clarity, and strong crystal form. This piece stands out for its long, blade-like crystals, its natural frosted and glassy mix of luster, and the way the crystal surfaces preserve both striations and contact textures. It has the kind of honest mineral character collectors like, where the growth history is still visible instead of being hidden by perfect polish or over-cleaning.

In metaphysical traditions, danburite is often associated with peace, clarity, and a lighter emotional atmosphere. Many people are drawn to it for its quiet, calming feel and connect it with insight, gentleness, and a sense of openness.
