Description: These single Ammonite fossil slices from Madagascar feature a polished cross-section that reveals the internal chamber structure of an ancient marine ammonite. Each slice displays a natural spiral pattern with visible segmented chambers, often showing earthy tones of cream, brown, tan, grey, black, and occasional calcite-filled areas. The flat polished surface highlights the fossil’s natural geometry, making each piece ideal for display, study, jewelry use, décor, or fossil collecting.

Ammonites were extinct marine cephalopods related to modern squid, octopus, and nautilus. They lived in ancient oceans for hundreds of millions of years before disappearing at the end of the Cretaceous Period. Madagascar is one of the world’s most recognized sources of decorative ammonite fossils, especially polished slices and chambered specimens that reveal the beautiful internal structure preserved through mineral replacement over time.

Spiritually, ammonites are often associated with transformation, grounding, ancient wisdom, and the cycles of life. Their spiral shape is commonly viewed as a symbol of growth, evolution, protection, and natural flow, while the exposed chamber pattern is often appreciated as a reminder of inner structure, history, and personal development.
