Description
Mined from: Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mapimí Municipality, Durango, Mexico
Description: This Kobyashevite stone is aragonite covered in Kobyashevite, which is what gives it that blue/green colour. The fine fuzzy needles that cover the crystal are Selenite. The only other location this stone is mined is Russia. There is a variety of hemimorphite that is mined near this area that are dyed and enhanced by humans, however, this is not one of them and is natural. Kobyashevite is incredibly rare and has a very limited supply.
