Description

Mined from: Cabiche, Quipama Municipality, Western Boyaca Province, Boyaca Department, Colombia

Description: This one of a kind Mango Quartz with Halloysite mineral specimen from Colombia features warm golden-yellow quartz points rising from a sparkling bed of smaller clear to champagne-toned crystals. The larger prismatic points show soft mango coloration concentrated toward the tips and interiors, while the surrounding needle-like quartz growth adds a delicate, bright texture. Rusty brown matrix and earthy Halloysite-rich areas give the piece a natural contrast, making it an attractive display specimen with a lively clustered formation.

Mango Quartz is a collector name for quartz containing yellow to orange Halloysite inclusions, which create its distinctive warm “mango” tones. This material is best known from the Cabiche area near Quipama in Boyaca Department, Colombia, and is often broadly associated with the Muzo emerald mining region. Halloysite itself is a hydrated aluminum silicate clay mineral, while quartz is one of the most abundant and widely collected minerals in the world.

Spiritually, Mango Quartz is often associated with joy, optimism, confidence, and creative energy. Quartz is commonly viewed as an amplifier of intention and clarity, while the sunny Halloysite coloration is often connected with warmth, motivation, and uplifting personal energy.
