Description
Description: Designed specifically for cutting softer, high-value materials such as turquoise, gaspeite, and opal, these thin diamond lapidary saw blades are ideal for precision work. The blades are manufactured by crimping synthetic diamonds directly into the cutting edge, making them best suited for materials in the Mohs hardness range of approximately 4–6, including turquoise, opal, glass, and similar stones.
These blades are not recommended for harder materials such as agate or jadeite (Mohs ~6–7), as cutting resistance is high and blade wear or damage will occur quickly. When used as intended, they offer clean cuts, reduced material loss, and efficient use of valuable rough.
This blade is a cost-effective option for users who require very thin kerfs or short-term use. It excels at trimming and shaping small pieces rather than slabbing or cutting large material.
Use with water or oil as a lubricant during operation.
These blades rotate in one direction only. There will be an arrow on the blade denoting the rotational direction.
