Description: This one-of-a-kind smoky quartz is a cushion fantasy cut, a faceted cushion shape with round bubbles carved into its surface. Each carved bubble acts like a small lens, catching light and reflecting it back through the smoky brown-grey stone. It was cut in Vancouver, British Columbia by Broken Ox Creations.

Smoky quartz is the brown to grey variety of quartz. Its colour comes from natural irradiation acting on trace aluminium within the crystal. At a hardness of 7 it is durable enough for everyday jewelry.

In crystal traditions, smoky quartz is often associated with grounding and letting go of stress. These associations come from spiritual and folk traditions rather than scientifically established properties.
