Description

Locality: King Citrine Mine, Mount Breakenridge, Harrison Lake, British Columbia, Canada

Description: This Alpine Actinolite Quartz rough from the King Citrine Mine, Mount Breakenridge, Harrison Lake, British Columbia, Canada features natural quartz material with green Actinolite inclusions running through the stone. The quartz may show clear, milky, smoky, or translucent areas, while the Actinolite appears as green to dark green needles, wisps, or fibrous mineral growth inside the rough. This material has a raw alpine-style look and is well suited for collectors, lapidary projects, cabochons, polishing, wire wrapping, and display rough.

This is our lower, non-facet grade of Actinolite Quartz. Compared with our hand-picked Facet Grade rough, these pieces show more fractures, more inclusions and more opacity, so they are better suited to cabbing, polishing, tumbling and display than to faceting.

Actinolite Quartz is quartz included with Actinolite, a green amphibole mineral often found in metamorphic and alpine-type environments. The mix of hard quartz and green mineral inclusions gives the material a natural, earthy character, with each piece showing its own balance of clarity, texture, and internal growth.

In crystal traditions, Actinolite Quartz is associated with grounding, protection, clarity, and steady personal growth. These associations come from spiritual traditions rather than scientifically established properties.
