Description: Tourmalinated quartz is a type of quartz crystal that contains needle-like inclusions of black tourmaline. The name "tourmalinated" is derived from the word tourmaline, which is a mineral that forms long, slender crystals.

Tourmalinated quartz is usually transparent to translucent and can range in color from clear to smoky gray. The black tourmaline needles can be fine and wispy or thick and heavily included.

Traditionally, tourmalinated quartz has been regarded as a protective stone, combining the traditions of quartz and tourmaline.
