描述
Mined from: Huanggang Mine, Hexigten Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, China
Description: This one of a kind Morion Quartz specimen from Inner Mongolia, China has a dramatic cluster of dark smoky to nearly black quartz crystals, with long prismatic points rising in different directions across the piece. The surface has a fine sparkling druzy coating, giving the crystals a textured, almost sugar-dusted look while still showing the sharp natural geometry of quartz.
Morion is the darkest variety of smoky quartz, with its deep colour typically caused by natural radiation interacting with trace aluminum impurities inside the quartz structure. Quartz forms in silica-rich fluids that move through cracks and cavities in rock, slowly building hexagonal crystals as the solution cools and deposits silica over time.
Spiritually, Morion Quartz is often associated with grounding, protection, focus, and clearing heavy energy. Collectors are drawn to it for its strong dark presence, sharp crystal structure, and the feeling of stability and depth it brings to a display.
