描述

Mined from: Mina la Cocinera, Ramos, Mun. de Villa de Ramos, San Luis Potosí, Mexico

Description: This one-of-a-kind Fluorite specimen from the Cocineras Mine in Mexico features an open, branching cluster of dark smoky-purple to brownish-violet crystals. The intergrown crystals have heavily textured, stepped and etched surfaces, with occasional lighter lilac and cream-coloured mineral patches throughout. Numerous natural openings and cavities give the specimen an unusual sculptural appearance, while thinner crystal edges show areas of translucency.

Fluorite has long been valued both as an important industrial mineral and as a favourite among mineral collectors for its wide variety of colours and crystal formations. Mexico has a particularly strong history of fluorite mining and is known for producing distinctive collector specimens ranging from pale transparent material to richly coloured purple varieties.

In metaphysical traditions, purple fluorite is associated with mental clarity, concentration, intuition and spiritual awareness. It is commonly connected with the Third Eye and Crown Chakras and is often used during meditation or study to encourage focus, organization and a calm state of mind.
