Graveyard Point Plume Agate - Rough

Origin: Shares the border of Oregon and Idaho, USA

Description: This is a classic lapidary rock. "Plume" is French for feather, which is what you'll see in the pattern. This stone is beautiful as a cabochon on its own, but in artisanal jewelry it has also been used as the cap for doublets.

Mineral: The material can be pitted, and has the odd crack. Overall, it is easy to pull large cabochons from.
