Description

Mined from: Cabiche, Quipama Municipality, Western Boyaca Province, Boyaca Department, Colombia

Description: This one of a kind Mango Quartz with Halloysite mineral specimen from Colombia features a sculptural cluster of elongated prismatic quartz crystals radiating outward from a central point. The crystals are mostly translucent to milky white, with warm golden-yellow to pale orange Halloysite inclusions concentrated near the terminations and along internal fractures. The piece has a light, airy structure with several well-formed points, soft natural iron-toned staining, and small attached matrix areas that give it a delicate, natural display quality.

“Mango Quartz” is a collector name for Colombian quartz colored by fine Halloysite inclusions, a clay mineral from the kaolinite group. This material is most commonly associated with the Cabiche area of Quipama, Western Boyaca Province, Boyaca Department, Colombia, with some specimens also marketed from the broader Muzo emerald mining district. The “mango” name comes from the warm yellow-orange color created by the Halloysite within the quartz, especially near the crystal tips.

Spiritually, Quartz is often associated with clarity, amplification, focus, and cleansing energy, while Halloysite-included Mango Quartz is often appreciated for its sunny, uplifting appearance. Many crystal enthusiasts connect it with optimism, creativity, confidence, and gentle motivation, making it a bright and appealing specimen for both display and energetic collections.
