Description

Mined from: Mibladen Mining District, Morocco

Description: This one of a kind Vanadinite mineral specimen from Morocco features a dense cluster of deep brick-red to reddish-brown hexagonal crystals covering most of the matrix. The crystals range from thin tabular forms to thicker short prisms, with stepped growth, flat terminations, and a mix of glossy and lightly textured faces. Some of the thinner edges show brighter red-orange translucence when strongly lit, while the thicker crystals stay darker and more opaque. The specimen has good coverage from several angles and a compact, naturally formed display shape.

Vanadinite is a lead chlorovanadate mineral and is best known for its bold red-orange coloration and sharply formed hexagonal crystals. It was first identified in the early 1800s and is named for its vanadium content, an element that was still being newly understood at the time. Vanadinite forms as a secondary mineral in the oxidized zones of lead deposits, often developing from the alteration of lead-bearing minerals such as galena. Morocco is one of the most famous modern sources of high-quality Vanadinite, especially from mining districts in the Mibladen and Midelt regions.

Spiritually, Vanadinite is often associated with energy, focus, motivation, and endurance. Many people connect it with productivity and creative drive, viewing it as a stone that supports determination and helps bring ideas into action. Its deep red colour is also commonly linked with grounding, vitality, and physical stamina.
