Description: This one-of-a-kind citrine is a 10.00 carat freeform fantasy cut, an asymmetrical faceted shape with round bubbles carved into its surface. Each carved bubble acts like a small lens, catching light and reflecting it back through the warm golden stone. It was cut in Vancouver, British Columbia by Broken Ox Creations.
Citrine is the yellow to golden-brown variety of quartz, coloured by trace amounts of iron. At a hardness of 7 it is durable enough for everyday jewelry, and its clarity makes it a favourite for faceting and carving.
In crystal traditions, citrine is often associated with warmth, optimism and abundance. These associations come from spiritual and folk traditions rather than scientifically established properties.
