We handle every item with the utmost care, skill, and respect. However, due to the inherent risks involved in working with jewelry—particularly pieces with unknown or compromised materials—we require your understanding and agreement to the following:

Customer-Provided Materials

  • If you provide your own gemstone(s) or jewelry for repair, resizing, or custom work, you accept all risk of damage inherent to working with that item.

  • Many older or secondhand pieces may contain hidden fractures, prior repairs, or non-disclosed treatments (e.g., fracture filling, dyeing) that can cause breakage during standard processes.

  • Stones chipped, fractured, or broken during removal, setting, resizing, or repair of customer-provided pieces will not be replaced or reimbursed.

Unknown or Plated Metals

  • If an item is made from a plated or base metal (e.g., brass, nickel alloys) and this is not disclosed or cannot be determined before work begins, we are not liable for melting, discoloration, or other damage caused during repair or resizing.

  • Plated items can have unpredictable reactions to heat, polishing, and chemical treatments. We recommend confirming metal content through a trusted jeweler before requesting work.

No Assumption of Value

  • We do not appraise or guarantee the authenticity or value of customer-provided gemstones or metals. Customers must carry their own insurance for high-value items if concerned about loss or damage.

Limitation of Liability

  • Our maximum liability for loss or damage to any item is limited to the amount paid to us for the specific service performed. We do not assume or accept any liability for the intrinsic or sentimental value of customer-provided items.

By commissioning work with us, you acknowledge that repairs, resizing, and customizations involve unavoidable risks, and you agree to release and hold us harmless from liability for any damage or loss resulting from undisclosed material issues, structural weaknesses, or inherent defects in your item.
