We are looking for a growth marketer to help drive both in-store traffic and online sales for our rock, crystal, fossil, and gemstone business. Our brick-and-mortar location is something special. It is not just a store, but an experience in itself, with the feel of a museum and the kind of place people remember once they have seen it. We believe that if more people in Vancouver knew about what we have built in their own backyard, it could become a highly popular destination for both locals and tourists.

This role is focused on helping more people discover us and ultimately convert that attention into sales. That includes bringing more local traffic through our front doors, improving online sales through our website, and building effective campaigns that move people from Google, YouTube, social media, and other channels toward completing a purchase. We would also love to find someone who understands how to expand product visibility onto other sales channels such as Amazon, and who can help strengthen and optimize our Etsy presence as well.

We already have the products, pricing, and fulfillment capability. What we need is someone whose attention is consistently on making sure these rocks keep selling. The right person will be focused on optimizing ads, campaigns, and customer acquisition strategies over time, rather than just posting content for the sake of it. We are looking for someone who can bring both strategy and execution, and who understands how to turn interest into measurable growth.

The workplace culture here is very far from corporate. We are a small team of roughly 10 to 12 people, including a graphic designer, two photographers, a data entry person, and retail staff, all working together to fulfill their roles and keep the business moving forward. This is an environment where performance is valued and rewarded. As long as the goals and expectations of the role are being met, you will have a great deal of freedom to apply your own knowledge, judgment, and expertise. That freedom matters to us, because if we are hiring you for your marketing experience, we want to make use of it.

At the same time, we are looking for more than technical skill. We want someone who is genuinely enthusiastic about this type of work, excited by rocks and the world around them, and likely to enjoy being part of the company. Fit matters. We want someone who will thrive here, not someone trying to force themselves into a role that does not suit them.

The position can be either part-time or full-time, as we are open to both depending on the person and the fit. Truthfully, this is the first time we are bringing a dedicated marketer onto payroll, but it feels like the right time. We have built something strong, and now we are ready for someone who can help put it in front of more people.

Hourly rate: 38 to 48/ hr
