Description: Barite, also spelled baryte, is a mineral composed of Barium, Sulfur, and Oxygen. Barium is extremely low on the periodic table, and thusly has extremely high density. As a result, barite weighs significantly more than most other other minerals of the same size - for example, the weight per cubic centimeter of barite is just under double that of quartz. These specimens feature beautiful rosettes of well formed barite blades with striking complex terminations. They are highly reminiscent of flowers.
White and grey Barites like these are often associated with the crown chakra (Sahasrara) and the third eye chakra (Ajna) in metaphysical practices. barite, with its pure and clear appearance, is thought to enhance spiritual awareness and facilitate a deeper connection with the divine or higher self.
