Description: This is plain and simple black basalt. when slabbed, it serves as backing material for lamination. Most commonly used for opals, but it can add structure to any other kind of stone as well as an alternative to Opticon stabilization.

Inclusions: Almost no inclusions. Just solid, flat black backing material.
