Description: This one of a kind Carcharodontosaurus tooth fossil specimen from Morocco features a broad, curved theropod tooth with a deep reddish-brown enamel surface, darker natural mineral staining, and a robust, textured root end. The blade tapers to a worn point, with visible serrations along the cutting edge and subtle surface striations that show the tooth’s original predatory form. Its compact size and strong shape make it an excellent display fossil.
Carcharodontosaurus was a massive carnivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous Period, roughly 100 to 94 million years ago. Its name means “shark-toothed lizard,” inspired by its sharp, serrated teeth that resemble the cutting edges of large shark teeth. Fossils of this dinosaur are famously found in North Africa, especially in the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco, a fossil-rich region that preserves remains from an ancient river system filled with dinosaurs, fish, crocodilians, and other prehistoric life.
Spiritually, dinosaur teeth and fossil specimens are often associated with ancient strength, survival, grounding, and personal power. Carcharodontosaurus fossils in particular are commonly connected with courage, resilience, protection, and primal energy, reflecting the presence of one of prehistoric Africa’s dominant predators. This tooth carries a bold, earthy character, making it appealing as both a collector fossil and a symbolic piece of endurance and ancient wisdom.
