Description: This one of a kind citrine and calcite polished half geode on stand statement specimen from Brazil features a broad open face lined with dense golden to amber citrine druze and scattered white to cream calcite formations. The crystal surface has a fine sparkling texture across most of the interior, with a few larger calcite clusters and pale quartz-rich zones breaking up the orange-brown field. One side shows lighter natural banding and small cavity features, which gives the piece a bit more character than a uniform druze face. The outer rim is pale and naturally defined, while the back and sides retain a darker rough host rock. Mounted on a black metal stand, it works well as a large display piece.

Citrine is the yellow to orange variety of quartz, and Brazil is one of the best known sources for large decorative quartz geodes and cathedral-style specimens. In the trade, many Brazilian citrine geodes are heat-treated amethyst, which is what gives them that deeper burnt golden to orange tone. Calcite commonly occurs alongside quartz in these cavity-grown formations, and here it shows up as light contrasting crystal clusters across the druze face.
