Description: These petrified woods have been river worn so they are rounded and smooth. They lack the polish that a machine tumbler would give them, but have a natural palm stone shape caused by nature.
Petrified Wood is the name given to wood that has been fossilized through the process of permineralization. When the wood becomes buried under sediment or volcanic ash and is preserved from lack of oxygen.
