Description
Origin: Congo
Description: Malachite is a vibrant green copper carbonate hydroxide mineral, known for its banded patterns, silky luster, and rich history in art and jewelry. Malachite forms as a secondary mineral in copper deposits, where it precipitates from water-rich in carbonates and copper ions. Its distinctive botryoidal (bubble-like) formations and banded layers make it instantly recognizable. Due to its beautiful colour, banding and botryoidal patterns it can make truly stunning lapidary projects.
Malachite is often called the "Stone of Transformation", known for its powerful protective, healing, and amplifying properties. It has been revered for centuries as a stone of protection, emotional cleansing, and deep spiritual growth.
