Description

Mined from: Minas Gerais, Brazil

Description: This one of a kind Vivianite specimen from Brazil features deep blue-black to greenish-black bladed crystals partially embedded in a warm ochre-brown matrix. The glossy crystal faces show strong linear striations, sharp edges, and naturally layered growth, creating a dramatic contrast against the earthy, botryoidal-textured host rock. Small green-blue flashes can be seen in some areas, adding depth and character to this uncommon Brazilian specimen.

Collectors will appreciate this piece for its striking dark Vivianite blades, rugged natural matrix, and sculptural presentation. The combination of lustrous black-green crystal growth with iron-rich brown texture gives the specimen a bold, raw aesthetic while still showcasing the delicate bladed habit Vivianite is known for.

Vivianite is named after the British mineralogist John Henry Vivian, who researched this mineral in the early 19th century. It is commonly associated with emotional healing, heart-centered awareness, compassion, renewal, patience, and gentle transformation.
